Change need not be stressful
Schools today face real challenges to meet the needs of young learners. SchoolsICT understands those challenges and will help you enable 21st century learning. We know that it is not just about new IT equipment or the latest software - we know it is about vision, leadership, evolving pedagogy, creating interoperable systems without changing infrastructures and most importantly understanding schools and learning today.
Two significant ICT challenges in schools during 2010 are the integration of management information systems and learning platforms expected during March, and Parental Engagement with Online Reporting to be in place by September. SchoolsICT are very well placed to support schools in achieving both those aims. Ian Tasker of SchoolsICT was the developer of SIMS2Moodle and open-source solution integrating SIMS and Moodle. SchoolsICT's SIF2MOODLE product takes the lead and is the next generation of interoperability between SIMS/CMIS and Moodle enabling Parental Engagement beyond the basic expectations of many.
Our unique approach combines extensive knowledge of education and learning together with technical expertise and innovation. We can align schools with national strategies, such as Next Generation Learning helping the school to evolve naturally and over time. Interoperability and Parental Engagement
In education today IT solutions have to be flexible, affordable and sustainable. We can now add two more very important charcateristics - interoperability and integration to benefit from investment and use. SchoolsICT flagship product, SIMS2MOODLE, has clearly demonstrated successful integration and interoperability by bringing together a SIMS.Net and Moodle within schools.
SchoolsICT's new product, SIF2MOODLE, represents a sea-change in interoperability and integration utilising the Schools Interoperability Framework. SIMS.Net and CMIS can now become interoperable with Moodle forming an unrivalled platform for Parental Engagement within Moodle. Because of the SIF2MOODLE architecture, an investment in SIF2MOODLE is future-proof, enabling integration without 'disturbing' existing or legacy systems.
